A Little About Me

I am an eclectic generalist:  a mom of two daughters (they are both my favorite!), a retired homeschooler of 12 years, a crazy dog mom to a Weimeraner, a wife of over 33 years, computer programmer of 20 years, a hardcore gardening enthusiast & nature-lover, a sci-fi nut, a music lover, and a creativity addict, among other things.  I do not know the meaning of boredom. Ha!

(BTW, my name is pronounced “Sha-main”.)

If you want to find me, just look in my backyard. I’m probably chasing a butterfly with the camera.  🙂

If it’s purple, I love it.  If it’s goofy or it sparkles, I love it even more.  If it makes me laugh, that is the ultimate!

…And if it’s related to health, I’m passionate about it after going thru a major health crisis in 2023.

I started this website because my joy is teaching, encouraging, and helping others, as well as filling my life and the lives of those around me with as much beauty as possible.
